ANZ - THE COMEDY TREATMENT
Cancer is never joke… except for when it is. Wanting to find a new way to raise donations for their annual Daffodil Day collection, ANZ and The Cancer Society asked us to help.
BEN & JERRY'S - SUNDAE NIGHT MOO-VIES
A partnership that made more sense out loud than it did on paper, this product launch for Ben & Jerry’s Sundae’s was so perfect it gave us (and the cow) chills.
ELEVIT - DOUBLE PARKED
Double Parked, a local comedy following a same-sex couple’s haphazard pregnancy journey may be a guaranteed avenue for laughs, but for Elevit it was the perfect surrogate to raise awareness around their pre-natal products for young mums-to-be.
BNZ - HOUSE RULES NZ
Variable interest? Green home loans? Coastal fusion with scandi? What does it all mean?! Building a bridge between the inaugural season of reality show House Rules NZ and it’s Major Prize Partner BNZ, we looked to give Kiwis the answers.
SEALORD - DUNCH
Dunch! The act of preparing tomorrow’s dinner with lunch in mind. But what does that look like, and how was it dished up to Kiwis who weren’t in the know?
WESTPAC - NEWSCUBS
Taking a new approach to current events, the Westpac Rashies campaign sought to speak to our most difficult audience yet: children.
ASB - RUGBY WORLD CUP
“Ben and Amy” are characters that ASB have developed to feature in a range of their commercial campaigns. So when it came time for them to sponsor the Women’s Rugby World Cup, it only made sense to use these two to bring the sponsorship to life.
TSB - THE BLOCK NZ OFFAIR CAMPAIGN
As part of their partnership with The Block NZ, TSB wanted to run an offair campaign that encouraged Kiwis to open new accounts for the chance to win $5,000 cash.
SAMSUNG FLIP IT OR WIN IT
This was a really fun campaign. Samsung wanted to promote their new Galazy Z Flip 4. The key feature being the foldable screen, which is what they wanted to highlight.
McDONALD'S - McSIGN POSTS
McDonald’s wanted to promote their new Chicken Big Mac around dinner time. And there’s no better night than kicking back and enjoying your favourite entertainment without the pressure of cooking dinner or doing the dishes!
WOMENS REFUGE - GREAT NIGHT IN
Knack was proud to have partnered with eightyone and the Women’s Refuge to deliver The Great Night In 2022 – an initiative that encouraged the nation to spend a night at home, all for a good cause – helping women and their children escape family violence.
TOURISM NZ - SUMMER CAMPAIGN
We partnered with Tourism NZ to inspire NZ to get out and explore their own backyard by showcasing the best that our country has to offer.
AA INSURANCE - SORT YOUR LIFE OUT
Occasionally you get those really magical sponsorships where the brand alignment is just perfect. AA Insurance’s line is “Live a Little Freer”, which is perfect, because that’s what Sort Your Life Out is helping people to do in the show with all of their decluttering and organisation.
JAGUAR - SHE SETS THE PACE - THE PROJECT
Discovery NZ in partnership with Together, Special & Jaguar created an integrated campaign to challenge outdated gender stereotypes in the automotive industry.
TRADE ME - KINDNESS STORE
Many Kiwi families struggle financially in the lead up to Christmas. This hardship is felt even more keenly at this time of the year, so Trade Me started the Kindness Store, harnessing the power of their popular platform to encourage Kiwis to help. Much needed items can be purchased by users which will then be donated to those in most need.
SULTANA BRAN - THE MASKED SINGER
This is a really great example of how we can integrate a brand into a local production like The Masked Singer – we recreated elements of the official set in 3D and put the Sultana Bran cereal box front and centre of their 10″ sponsorship billboard.
SONIC - THREE IDENTS
With the second instalment of everyone’s favourite hedgehog on the way, Paramount asked us how we’d bring Sonic to life for our audiences. With the THREE brand being as bright and vibrant as it is, it felt like the perfect home for our little blue friend.
MERIDIAN - NEWSHUB WEATHER
Meridian is our long standing Newshub weather sponsor, from AM in the morning right through until Newshub Late at night. Using their weather sponsorship assets in a truly dynamic fashion, literally dictated by the weather.
FRANK ENERGY - 7DAYS
Frank energy is the power company that likes to tell it you straight. The talent on 7Days don’t like to mince their words either, so it felt like a really great fit!
MILFORD ASSET MANAGEMENT - NEWSHUB UPDATES
Milford Asset management leverages the credibility of Warner Bros. Discovery’s extensive news & current affairs offering, with a partnership spanning from integrated AM spokesperson segments first thing in the morning to the sponsorship of our daily Newshub updates and Newshub Late at night.
DELL CHANGEMAKERS - THE PROJECT
Warner Bros. Discovery created a stand out, content led series that would shine a light on those Kiwis who are doing amazing things in our communities (and using tech to help them along the way) with our partners Dell, we called this The Changemakers series.
TOURISM NZ - SUMMER PARTNERSHIP
Discovery NZ partnered with Tourism NZ to showcase the best that our country has to offer. Through the AM and The Project, we visited 14 different locations, across 10 days, talking with the locals and taking part in local activities. We then took this content, showed on air and amplified it across our social channels to reach as many kiwis as we could.
WESTPAC - CPR-OJECT
Westpac along with The Project wanted to bring attention to how important and easy CPR is to learn and how vital someone with CPR knowledge can be when saving someone’s life.
With only a small population of our little island nation knowing this life saving skill, the mission was clear.
AIA SHARE CHAIR
AIA partnered with The Project to launch the nationwide tour of the AIA Share Chair!
The AIA Share Chair travelled the country looking for people’s confessions, secrets, heartwarming tales, and hilarious stories.
2ND CHANCE CHARLIE
Warner Bros. Discovery NZ, TBWA and 2degrees worked in partnership to create 2nd Chance Charlie, a unique five-minute episode reality format that aired straight after The Project on Wednesday and Thursday nights for 8 weeks. Five ‘Charlies’ were selected to battle it out on television to win the ultimate prize – a 12-week development and training programme with a Super Rugby Team, plus a $10,000 cash prize.
AMPED - MERIDIAN
Discovery NZ partnered with Meridian to create the high energy show Amped for Kiwi kids and their parents during our first Level 4 lockdown. The entire production team, host and contributors working from the safety of their bubbles.
MATCH FIT
Discovery NZ partnered with Sanitarium Weet-Bix to bring to life a fully integrated partnership across sponsorship and in show branding. Iconic Sanitarium brand Weet-Bix had a need to promote its encouragement of the health and wellbeing of every New Zealander more broadly.
CHALLENGE ACCEPTED - CHORUS
Chorus came to us wanting to demonstrate to those who are technically resistant, that if they give it a go, it can make life a little easier. Many of the target market are older and feel that doing things like ordering groceries online is just too hard.
TSB GOOD STUFF
Discovery NZ partnered with TSB to launch their new Good Stuff Grants programme in April 2020. The campaign had to announce the brand new grants programme to NZ and drive quality entries. We took advantage of all the Discovery NZ platforms across TV, Digital and VOD, plus partnered with QMS and MediaWorks Radio and included in show integration in The AM Show and The Project, as well as curated Newshub digital content.
PARTNERS LIFE - 7 DAYS
Partners Life often take an irreverent tone when it comes to life insurance, which sets them apart from their competitors. So when they came to us wanting a sponsorship, 7Days seemed the perfect, irreverent fit. And having Jeremy and Dai reading the eulogy and organising the wake…what a brilliant, terrible idea!
CARL’S JR - CENSORSHIP SPOTS
Discovery NZ has partnered with Carl’s Jr since 2019 to help them to stand out in a crowded category.
BIRDS EYE SWITCHERS
Ever considered switching out your rice for cauliflower rice instead? That’s what Birdseye wanted to ask a young, time poor and health conscious demographic. They had specifically asked us to make a series of content pieces that spoke to this audience. They wanted the content to be authentic, natural and candid.
SUZUKI - THE BLOCK NZ
Suzuki and GSL Promotus partnered with The Block NZ season 9 to launch their new Suzuki, providing the teams with a vehicle, each uniquely wrapped to their team colour for the duration of the season. This not only naturally and authentically integrated the vehicles into the everyday lives of the teams, but also became an essential part of their ability to complete a range of tasks across the season.
SUZUKI - NEWSHUB SPORT
This nine year partnership makes them our longest running sponsor on Three of which we are incredibly proud. Even more so, with Suzuki adding to their partnership with us in 2022 for the sponsorship of Newshub at 8pm on eden.
PLOUGHMANS - GRAND DESIGNS NZ
Ploughmans partnered with Grand Designs NZ Season 6 to demonstrate the quality of their locally baked loaves. Each Grand Design is a unique local creation. So for each episode, we created a Ploughmans sandwich inspired by the design featured in the show.
